La Alianza Informativa Latinoamericana fue invitada a iniciar su proceso de
incorporación a la Unión Mundial de Radiodifusión.
La Alianza Informativa Latinoamericana (AIL) fue invitada a iniciar su proceso de incorporación a la Unión Mundial de Radiodifusión (WBU, por sus siglas en ingles). La WBU es una organización que agrupa las uniones continentales de radiodifusión, la cual fue creada en 1992.
La WBU está integrada por: la Unión Africana de Radiodifusión (AUB), la Unión de Radiodifusión de los Estados Árabes (ASBU), la Unión de Radiodifusión de Asia y el Pacífico (ABU), la Unión de Radiodifusión del Caribe (CBU), la Unión Europea de Radiodifusión (EBU), la Asociación de Radiodifusión de América del Norte (NABA) y la Asociación Internacional de Radiodifusión (AIR/IAB).
En el marco de la invitación, la AIL participará del comité técnico, comité de noticias y del grupo de trabajo del tratado de radiodifusión de la WBU. La invitación, también, incluye la cooperación y el intercambio de contenido informativo para todas las organizaciones miembro de la WBU y los canales asociados de la AIL.
Al formar parte de la WBU, la AIL fortalecerá su presencia nivel internacional, brindará un servicio global de noticias a sus asociados y establecerá nuevos lazos de cooperación con organizaciones en otras regiones del mundo.

The Latin American News Alliance was invited to begin the process of joining the World Broadcasting Union.
Bogotá D.C., December 26, 2024. The Latin American Information Alliance (AIL) was invited to begin the process of joining the World Broadcasting Union (WBU). The WBU is an organization of the Continental Broadcasting Unions, which was created in 1992.
The broadcasting unions who belong to the WBU are the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU), the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the International Association of Broadcasting (AIR/IAB), and the North American Broadcasters Association (NABA).
As part of the invitation, the AIL will participate in the WBU technical committee, news committee and broadcasting treaty working group. The invitation also includes the cooperation and exchange of content of interest to all WBU member organizations and AIL partner channels.
Joining the WBU, the AIL will strengthen its international presence, provide better news service to its associates and establish new cooperative ties with organizations in other regions of the world.
